Head to Manny's for TV and more

Manny's Neighborhood Grille is
nothing less than a Charleston institution.
For almost a decade-and-a-half,
the West Ashley restaurant/bar has served up great
food and good times with a Lowcountry smile and some
Greek flair.
It has always struck me as ironic,
that when it comes to having personal TVs in
individual booths in a bar setting, the Greeks seem
to have the market cornered, at least in the West
Ashley area.
George's Bar & Grill on Savannah
Highway and Manny's top the list when it comes to
these TVs. Years ago, it was this particular feature
that first attracted me to Manny's, but that was
only the beginning.
Countless trips later, Manny's has
become a favorite, where the food is reliably good
and the atmosphere is always festive. Besides having
TVs at individual booths, Manny's also features 48
large screen TVs and carries every major sports
television package to satisfy any fan's needs.
As a creature of habit, I tend to
get the same dish at the same old places, and at
Manny's the "Gyro Platter" (a non-sandwich entree
version of the Greek specialty) always hits the
spot, although the Greek chicken and gourmet pizzas
also rank high among my group of friends.
By no means does Manny's extensive
menu end with chicken and pizza, and neither does
the fun, as Manny's has long been known for it's
comfortable atmosphere, suitable for both families
and late-night revelers.
Manny's is indeed the
quintessential "neighborhood" grill, as the place's
name suggests.
It's a Charleston treasure, to
boot.
